Opening Sequence: The Suicide Squad film was just released in theaters, and two days before the critics stormed the net with good and bad reviews. Rotten Tomatoes giving it a very low ratings, to Entertainment Weekly giving it a so / so review. IMBD landing a number of a 7.2 out of 10, a more realistic review, because the people who saw the film, meaning fanboys, audiences from all over decided other wise. The film for being a supposedly low rated film, after doing the number crunch, it is doing very well in the box office despite critic reviews. Fans, audiences now want Rotten Tomatoes to fall off the face of the Earth, as much as it sounds cool, it was a voice that folks in Hollywood need to hear. Audiences, viewers, thought the ratings, critics bad reviews were totally off. Look if a film is bad, then it's bad, but does it deserve a low ratings? That's a question only you can answer, because out of my circle of friends, there are many opinions, and that healthy discussion is what needs to be out to the public, because my friends will agree, but sometimes disagree, but that's the amazing thing here is we can have a heated debate, disagree and bam! end of argument, agree to disagree; That's what makes a great review site, an understanding of the film; Inform the public, and you're good to go. Sometimes as a critic you have the tendency to rip on a movie, but it's all about the fun of going through it, and in the end it's all an opinion, remember that and you'll be a happier person in the long run.

The film begins with Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) walking in a restaurant, two armed guards at her side; Briefcase at her side. She has a meeting with high Government officials, she must somehow make the case, convince them of her plans, a perfect team which can handle a situation without collateral. Waller tells them about a team she has in mind, a team of prisoners, that can do anything their told, bad people doing something different, establishing definite good.
"Gentleman, ladies: What if Superman had decided to fly down, rip off the roof of the White House, and grab the President right out of the Oval Office. Who would'a stopped him?" -White House Representative-
Amanda continues describing everyone she has in mind, the team she has so they could fight the fight without any finger pointing. June Moone (Cara Delevingne) possessed by an ancient witch called Enchantress. Waller has her heart, which gives her control over the entity, the heart is located in the black secured briefcase she cares with her.
Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) the Joker's flame, a woman that is worse than the Joker, she is devious in all levels. Waller describes her as smart, but deadly in every way. She was the one of the reasons the Joker (Jared Leto) escaped Arkham Asylum; A psychiatrist who falls for the Joker and became his accomplice. Her act has landed her in prison, but a secluded cell, because she has killed many guards in the attempt to escape. she is dangerous, and a great asset to the team.
Deadshot (Will Smith) the best hired assassin in the business; He went on missions that would eventually get him caught, his weak spot was his daughter. A tip was given that he would be working in Gotham, the hired assassin was taken in, thanks to the Batman. A man with a weakness for his daughter, not a weakness, more like a GPS. Find the girl, and eventually you will have Deadshot.
The others are Boomerang (Jai Courtney) a man with a pink pony fetish, Diablo (Jay Hernandez) a Meta Human that can produce fire from his fingers, distributing it violently, his last blow up was killed his family, now his options are limited. The Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) a Meta Human with an extreme temper, violent, aggressive, a perfect addition. Slipknot (Adam Beach) is a master of the use of ropes, including unbreakable ones, an assassin like Deadshot, kills all his targets silently. The team leader is Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) he and his team, with the help of Katana (Karen Fukuhara) will take Task Force X into hell and back; with his knowledge and training his team will meet all ends. If not, their nanite implants will kill them.
Review: One of my biggest angist against the mainstream critics is the way they complained about the characters not having backgrounds. Are they not blind, all the characters were described, some more than others, but really, lets complain about something that David Ayer, writer and director did very well. Slipknot (Adam Beach) another assassin, which had a brief intro, when he got off the helicopter. Did he need a huge entrance, nope, not really, another bad guy assassin, why go into another explanation, not needed, move on.
"The Joker (Jared Leto) had nothing to do with the plot;" Wrong again, he was the subplot, the underlying dark force that hits you when you least expect it. Why? would he not be in the story, he has a strong connection to Harley Quinn, sorry i disagree with the mainstream critics here, i loved the way the Joker made his way through every open door, the connection was strong, and it made for a good story.
The mainstream said, "There were too many characters in the story, it disrupted the flow of the film." Nope disagree again; The film was smooth sailing, no boredom, all the characters were strong even Slipknot, the character with the least amount of background." Batman was just a lore for the movie, him being in the film made no sense." Disagree again, sorry guys but it was through a flashback, which is great storytelling. Why was this even mentioned is beyond me, David Ayer did a wonderful job as a writer and director in the film, so to you haters, "Get a Life!." I could understand if Batman interrupted the scene at the end, fighting the Enchantress, then i would have a huge issue, but he didn't, it was well played, his interactions made sense. The story was wonderful, all the characters did their job, it was not only entertaining but enjoyable in every way, the mainstream critics could go, "Suck it!."
Here goes another complaint, "Deadshot and Harley Quinn were the characters with the most screen time, Joker had very little." Wow i disagree wholeheartedly, because Deadshot and Harley were the main characters, they were the most engaging, and if a writer wants to point that out, well two thumbs up for him. The Joker was there through flashbacks, until he made his entrance, that would bring him in. The connection was there, and to me it worked. The Joker, Batman, Harley Quinn are all part of Gotham, you need to have them in the story. I really don't understand these guys, if you complain about the movie, at least have a feasible issue.
Look at Ironman 3 for example, a horrible film, but that's my opinion. The Mandarin is Iron Man's big bad villain, but instead you get this drunk side job who was put up for the job of the bad guy. I writing mess that movie was; It almost disturbed me. But, the audiences all around the world thought differently then me, it was a box office hit. That's just the way it goes, a movie is reviewed, it can go both ways. The film sucked, it was a mess, look at Pepper Potts for example, at the end fight sequence she was somehow a martial arts Queen. Stark called in all his Iron man Suits, that scene pissed me off, horrible, it sucked. And they complain about Suicide Squad. Why not have the Mandrin be the main bad guy, it would've made a great film, but that would've been to easy for the filmmakers.
So enough of the other critics, and let me just tell you, overall this film was a complete joy. From the action to the great storytelling. I personally love the connection between Flag and June Moon aka the Enchantress. They really made the movie, connection between these two was overshadowed by Deadshot and Quinn. Either way the Flag storyline was my favorite over all the characters; Harley and the Joker were next, and Diablo was done to perfection, it was epic the way he connected towards the end. The other bad guys were cool enough to keep me tied to my seat, just glad DC finally went for the face instead of holding back. The film was great, it has a story, characters that are engaging to keep you interested, and the Jared Leto's joker was very different, which i loved, he tried to do his own version, mixed in with some other Jokers of the past; You get a bit of Jack Nicholson, and Cesar Romero in Leto's Joker, which was amazing. His take was through flashbacks, a great way to introduce a new actor in the role of the Batman's iconic villain.
The real bad guy was Amanda Waller played by Viola Davis, she has been in some pretty good films, like Prisoners (2013), Harriet Tubman Project (2016), to name a few. Her character was gruesome, she was a born leader, a way to make the story even tighter than it should be. She was a ball-buster, she knew what she wanted, it was almost annoying, but in a good way, because the writer did his job by you the viewer not liking Waller. The real gem here was the way she manipulated everything, even the high military officials. The Tehran book for example, she used Enchantress to get the top secret intelligence. worked for her, but played everyone. She would most likely kill every loved one she has in order to serve her purpose.
Anyway, this film is done well, it fits the DCU perfectly, it manages to bring these bad guys together in a major crisis. From the Joker to Diablo, and the big bad the Enchantress herself, this film does it all. See it, enjoy it, and disregard the mainstream critics. Remember, like i pointed out, reviews are all opinion, but at least you're getting many points, and just not one, which would really suck. See the film, buy it when it comes to dvd, and digital streaming; Few films of this caliber can hold their own, at least for Suicide Squad these bad of bad people make wise decisions that enabled them to succeed, and become the heroes within.
