Brothers starring Tobey Maguire, Natalie Portman, and Jake Gyllenhaal. Capt. Sam Cahill is deployed to Afghanistan and leaves behind his wife Grace Cahill ( Natalie Portman) and two daughters.  Jake Gyllenhaal ( Tommy Cahill) plays a drunk who just served his time in prison, and is forced to care for his brothers Family while away, but his life is turned when he finds out that his brother is killed in action.  This film puts you in a different place, one brother defends his country while the other is in a different place , no respect from his father Hank Cahill ( Sam Shepard) who also served in the military.  There mother is played by Mare Winningham ( Elise Cahill).  A wonderful cast and a great Film. It brings out emotion and what it means to be in the shoes of a soldier and deal with situations in a brave, inspiring way.  This film is wonderful and should be on your top ten list of war films.  (Different war films).
