Image
Director:  Jordan Vogt-Roberts Writers: Dan Gilroy, Max Borenstein, Derek Connolly, story by John Gatins. Based on characters created by Marion Cooper, and Edgar Wallace. Cast: Tom Hiddleston (James Conrad), Samuel L. Jackson (Preston Packard), Bri Larson (Mason Weaver), John C. Reilly (Hank Marlow), John Goodman (Bill Randa), Corey Hawkins (Houston Brooks), and John Ortiz (Victor Nieves). Opening Sequence: Growing up as a kid watching monster movies, like Godzilla, Mothra, and King Kong. The Japanese Godzilla had a fist to cuffs moment with King Kong VS Godzilla (1962). The film was absolutely fantastic; At least to me it was. Watching old movies, and especially the Godzilla monster battle royal. These movies were all good, yes they're all cheesy, but at least these films had what we want as monster nuts, and that is monster galore. The evolution of these particular movies did roll in the right direction; It was after King Kong Lives (1986) the film received bad r...

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

Image
Director:  Wes Craven Writer:  Wes Craven Cast: Heather Langenkamp (Nancy Thompson), Johnny Depp (Glen Lantz), Robert England (Fred Kruger), John Saxon (Lt. Thompson), Ronee Blakley (Marge Thompson), Amanda Wyss (Tina Gray), Jsu Garcia (Rod Lane), and Charles Fleischer (Dr. King). Opening Credits: Wes Craven was an amazing master of horror. From the Elm Street films to Scream (1996), Shocker (1989), all these films i mentioned were all great movies. The characters in just these films alone were all memorable on screen. They played on our fears, especially when everything is set and done these films had left a mark in our hearts. Robert England as Freddy, the dynamic Horace Pinker (Mitch Pileggi) in the Shocker film. The greatness of Neve Campbell in the Scream films. She was smart, and her quick thinking got her out of a blood shed, time, and time again. But all in all these are Wes Craven films. The whole make-up that is Elm Street is if you think of it, an ...

Wayne's World (1992)

Image
Director:  Penelope Spheeris Writers:  Mike Myers, Bonnie Turner, Terry Turner. Cast: Mike Myers (Wayne Campbell), Dana Carvey (Garth Algar), Rob Lowe (Benjamin Oliver), Tia Carrere (Cassandra), Brian Doyle Murray (Noah Vanderhoff), Lara Flynn Boyle (Stacy), Michael Deluise (Alan), Dan Bell (Neil), Lee Teresen (Terry), and Kurt Fuller as Russell Finley. Opening Credits: Have you ever had a reason for things to happen and just realize that those things are mundane? Really, not joking. The event in your life was supposed to be huge, but in the end it was just another day. Those days for me are more frequent than most, especially at my age. The film i chose was Wayne's World because it reminds me of the past. The 90's was a very different time. People did things differently. The echo of the past is heard in a distance, it's what i grew up with. The movie had something to offer, but as i watch it, it almost felt humdrum. The laughter of the past i remembered, bu...

Opening Credits: The next phase to the MCU set up is here. Although sometimes the MCU set-up isn't what we might expect, but with that being said Marvel does a really good job with Easter eggs throughout the film, and within. The only real problem here is us, finding the time to take apart the film and tell the audience the whole breakdo...

The Hollow Point (2016)

Image
Director:  Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego Writer:  Nils Lyew Cast: Lynn Collins (Marla), Ian McShane (Leland), Patrick Wilson (Wallace), John Leguizamo (Atticus), Jim Belushi (Shep Diaz), Heather Beers (Ellie), Karli Hall (Lilly), Michael Flynn (Jesse), Nathan Stevens (Clive Mercy), David H. Stevens (Ken Mercy), and David Fernandez Jr. as Eugenio. Opening Credits: This film is somewhat a request. One of my good friends, one of many, had mentioned how great this film was. Thank you Mark, you know who you are, so a big applause to him please.  I wanted to review the new Resident Evil film next, but things change. That's what i love about doing this review, critic stuff it's a constant change. You have a game plan and somehow down the line it changes. My people are the import folks here, not me. I do have a list of movies coming soon, but if that changes down the line, and it's a friend requesting a movie, then that's enough for me. I guess when the Reeltime Movie r...

Opening Sequence: The vampire film of films has finally come to it's end of it's long drawn out tale. The Underworld Blood Wars is a movie that isn't for anyone, and that's saying a lot .Before i go into the review, i would like to mention the series previous films; They're either epic or somewhat OK if that makes any sense. Underworld (2003), Underworld: Evolution, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009). Underworld: Awakening (2012), and finally Underworld: Blood Wars (2016). These films have been a ...

The Shallows (2016)

Image
Director:  Jaume Collet-Serra Writer:  Anthony Jaswinski Cast:  Blake Lively (Nancy), Oscar Jaenada (Carlos), Angelo Josue & Lozano Corzo (Surfer), Brett Cullen (Dad), Sedona Legge (Chloe), Pablo Calva (Boy), Diego Espejel (Intoxicated man). Opening Sequence: Another shark film, a scream, an attack, welcome to the world of survival on the beach fronts. The main reason i picked this film to review is really because of the trailer that i caught just before one of my films at the theater. Yup i thought it would be a great shark movie to review other than the Sharknado series. Say what you want about the shark franchise but ever since Jaws (1975) sharks haven't really had a good go around. The attacks escalated, nobody really cared, and the studio continued making films about evil sharks. You have to admit, sharks are evil looking creatures under the water. Not only did the film had a small cast, it was amazing how the actress did her thing with not having...
