Maleficent

The 2014 Disney Classic on the silver screen, Maleficent.  Directed by Robert Stromberg, written by Linda Woolverton. Starring Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Sharlto Copley, Lesley Manville, Imelda Staunton, Juno Tempo, Sam Riley.
The story of Maleficent and how it all began, down to the kindness of a young Fairy who protected her home, loved every living creature.
Two kingdoms, one a corrupted King of the humans.  The other is a magical Forest called the Moors, where creatures, Fairy folk, are protected by Maleficent.
One day young Maleficent (Isobella Molloy) was called by the ancient tree-folk about a human that has stolen a jewel.  Stefan (Sharlto Copley) a curious human has stolen a jewel but his actions came to a stop when Maleficent (Isobella Molloy) confronted him, she asked to return what doesn't belong to him. A young Fairy's heart was taken that day by the curious human.
The beginning of the film we see a beautiful scene with the mystical fairies flying along side with young Maleficent.  The special effects tell the tale but doesn't surpass the story, it works with it.
Maleficent (Angelina Jolie) grows strong as the protector of the moors.  The Human King calls his men to arms, warriors stand strong waiting for the king to give the word to battle.  Maleficent's (Jolie) dark Forest creatures come to aid her in battle. the King and his men fail to take the Moors, it's inhabitants are to strong.
(Spoilers): King Henry (Kennath Cranham) will name a successor to the Throne only if Maleficent (Jolie) is destroyed.  A young percistant man, Stefan (Sharlto Copley) hears what the King proclaimed. The Moors Stefan (Copley) enters to call for Maleficent (Jolie).  Whatever he had done in the past
Was all forgotten. A Fairy in love with a human man; that night while asleep Stefan ( Copley) cuts her wings that gave her flight. Afterwards Maleficent (Jolie) changed within, her soul was taken to darkness.  The Love she trusted had taken her heart once again, but this time the love and kindness was drained from her that night.
A new King came into power and his name is Stefan (Copley). His ambition gave him the Throne, but now his queen bears his daughter, Aurora.
The story of a powerful, special Fairy who is misunderstood by humans, with the exception of a young girl, Aurora the powerful spell that was placed, but yet this honest, loving kindred spirit softens Maleficent's heart.
Casting and the special effects were wonderful, who? Would've known Angelina Jolie's performance was spectacular.  Her servant Diaval (Sam Riley) is very good in each of the scenes that he is in. Aurora (Elle Fanning) plays an innocent child, and her acting is right on target. Can't forget Knotgrass (Imelda Staunton), Flittle. (Lesley Manville), and Twistletwit (Juno Temple).  These Faries really are a treat, and add to the fantasy element. Go see this film, it's a classic in the making.
