Warning Spoilers:  Read at your own risk

Pym industries: (1989), Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) has a meeting with Howard Stark (John Slattery), he secretly has been trying to replicate Pym's shrinking technology, needless to say the meeting did not go as planned, Pym (Douglas) ended up punching Michell Carson, a government big wig , both powerful men had a disagreement which led to an altercation.  Pym (Douglas) doesn't want his technology in the wrong hands, especial Stark and government big wigs.

Present Day: San Quentin State Prison, Luis (Michael Pena) waits for Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), he has just served the last day of Prison.  Luis is Scott's old cellmate, who offers to let him stay, at his apartment complex.  Scott Lang (Rudd) made a point to let his friend Luis know that he will not continue his life of crime, he will get a job, work so that he could see his daughter, Cassie (Abby Ryder Fortson). The way the authorities saw it, Lang was in the wrong, he had taken what belonged to the people of Vista Corp, a company which in Lang's eyes did wrong to it's customers, so he decided to give the people what they deserved, and then some, he had hacked and transferred millions to the customers Vista Corp ripped off.

Luis's Apartment: Luis introduces his friends, Dave (T.I.), a getaway driver with the uncanny ability to say what he feels, at the right moment.  Kurt (David Dastmalchain), a man who can steal your identity, which comes with his territory, and finally Luis himself is the master of information, he smarts off at the right time.  The new heist is simple, break into a house and extract what ever you find, the plan was to search the place, find the safe and get out, but the number one issue was the tech to get to the safe itself, and doing so would be a task, but one Scott Lang can handle.

Scott drops by unannounced, at his daughter's birthday, all he wants is to see his kid, Cassie. Unfortunately, Paxton (Bobby Cannavale) my daughter's stepfather gives me a handful, but seeing Cassie (Abby Ryder Fortson) is the one thing that keeps him going, despite not having a job, which he needs because he will not be able to see Cassie for a year, if he continues the path he is on.

Afterwards, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) decides to take the job, or robbery that Luis (Michael Pena) suggested.  Outside the perimeter, his friends would wait inside the van with the loud horn, meanwhile Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) makes his way to the mansion, he breaks in with ease, a bit to easy, the door with the thumb print scan is the only issue, but he easily takes care of the situation.  Lang descends  to the basement and finds a lone ancient safe, Lang drills small holes, then squirts water, using the nitrogen to freeze it.  The sequence happens all at once, the water, nitrogen, the safe expands with the bolts shooting out exposing the contents of the safe, a suit, a helmet, no money or valuables.

Apartment: Lang wears the suit and pushes a button on his belt, something happened, because suddenly! he shrinks, everything is bigger, he is smaller, a voice tries to tell him to calm down.  Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) observes as Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) tries to control the situation, which doesn't go his way.  A large tub, to an enlarged animal, the suit and the ability to shrink.

Rant:  Let me start by saying the film is very entertaining, it delivers comedy, action, and a bit of a superhero fun.  The plot is basic, protagonist get's out of jail, needs a job, but can't find one because of his record.  Afterwards the good guy goes back to the life of crime, which doesn't work, then someone changes him with a pep talk that brings him in on a super secret project, Lang becomes something more, a hero, an Ant-Man. The film is predictable, but, remember it's entertainment.

The great moments in the film was Paul Rudd trying to understand what is happening, getting into the suit and bang! the superhero is born, i think.  Recognizing, and understanding how to control the suit was a real treat on screen, especially when he is trying to control the ants, the ants almost steal the show, in a cute kinda way.  Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) is a great actor, and to see him again on film was pretty awesome, his character was balanced, with a stack of problems.

The bad parts of the film didn't really bother me as much as it did some of the critics around the world, let me start by saying that the physics of the film are incorrect, but like i said, it's a superhero film, and with that, this film can get away with reality of our world.  Here we go, shrinking objects is specified in the film is due to diminishing the distance between atoms.  Meaning that when you shrink, the person gets to keep it's mass. So with that being said, that means there is no way Ant-Man could have ever jumped on the ant.  Not that big of a deal, understanding the directors vision was important, he still should've used a bit of reality, like i said not complaining.

My Favorites scene is when the Falcon went up against the Ant-Man, it was the most enjoyable part in the movie, especially when they fight in Avenger territory. The next scene a truly feel in love with, the scene with his daughter, Cassie watching her father, Scott fight Daren Cross (Corey Cross), funny scene between the iconic characters, a serious battle, through the eyes of a little girl.

Finally i would like to give a big tribute to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, who without their minds and wonderful stories, there would be no superhero films, comics, all the things that shrink us into being a kid again.  These films are fun, some of them bring us to another, time, place, even another world where heroes are considered gods.  In end this review wasn't supposed to be difficult, i was extremely busy, and still knocked out this review, either way hopefully this was enjoyable, because at 11:52 P.M. and my clock is set for 5:00 A.M. ready for work, my energy is low and sleep is hitting me, well it's time to go to bed.
