The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Directed by Marc Webb, written by Alex Kurtzman, Robert Orci, story by Jeff Pinker and James Vanderbilt.  Based on the Marvel Comics Character Spider-Man, Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.   Starring Andrew Garfield (Spider-Man/ Peter Parker), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy), Jamie Fox (Electro/Max Dillion), Dane DeHaan(Harry Osborn/ Green Goblin), Cambell Scott (Richard Parker), Paul Giamatti ( Aleksei Sytsevich /Rhino), and Sally Field (Aunt May).   The opening scene we have our friendly neiborhood Spider-Man (Garfield) chasing from the buildings above, with the trusty help of his web, slinging from one building to another.  Bouncing, flipping, using anything to propell him to the deranged Aleksei Sytsevich (Paul Giamatti).  A truck filled with a highly explosive substance, plutonium.  Dancing , acrobatics, and impressive special effects, Spider-Man saves the day and takes care of the Russian goons.     (The actual opening sc...

The 2014 Disney Classic on the silver screen, Maleficent.  Directed by Robert Stromberg, written by Linda Woolverton. Starring Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Sharlto Copley, Lesley Manville, Imelda Staunton, Juno Tempo, Sam Riley.    The story of Maleficent and how it all began, down to the kindness of a young Fairy who protected her home, loved every living creature.     Two kingdoms, one a corrupted King of the humans.  The other is a magical Forest called the Moors, where creatures, Fairy folk, are protected by Maleficent.      One day young Maleficent (Isobella Molloy) was called by the ancient tree-folk about a human that has stolen a jewel.  Stefan (Sharlto Copley) a curious human has stolen a jewel but his actions came to a stop when Maleficent (Isobella Molloy) confronted him, she asked to return what doesn't belong to him. Vampire Academy directed by Mark Waters and written for the screen by Danial Waters.  Based off the Noval by Richelle Mead. Starring Zoey Deutch, Lucy Fry, Danila Kozlovsky, Gabriel Byrne, Dominic Sherwood , Olga Kurylenko, Sarah Hyland, Sami Gayle , and Claire Foy.  The film is about two girls who have very unique qualities.  Rose Hathaway (Zoey Deutch) a Dhampir, half-human, vampire, a guardian.  Lissa Dragomir (Lucy Fry) a race of magical creatures called Moroi.  Lissa is also part of the royal family, she and Rose are bonded, that make them a bit more powerful than usual Moroi.     Dimitri Belikov ( Danila Kozlovsky) a Guardian and Also a Dhampir.  Dimitri is to bring the girls back to school, while transporting them back, the party of mythical creatures are stopped by the blood-sucking vampires known as the Strogoi.  A fight breaks out and Dimitri and his other Guardians kill the blood-suckers.    We now open in the School of g...

Heaven is for Real: Directed by Randall Wallace, written by Randall Wallace.  Based on the book written by Todd Burpo "Heaven is for Real" Starring: Greg Kinnear (Todd Burpo), Kelly Reilly (Sonja Burpo), Thomas Haden Church (Jay Wilkins), Connor Corum (Colton Burpo), First feature film.  Lana Styles (Cassie Burpo), and Margo Martindale (Nancy Rawling). Todd is a Pastor, volunteer Firefighter and a High School Wrestling coach.  Struggling financially and suffering with a broken leg, this Pastor has many issues which can make or break you.  Colton (Connor Corum) appendix ruptures and is taken to the hospital; Todd is told his son may not make the surgery. Through the grace of God this young boy survives.   Afterwards, Colton describes Heaven and the people he had met.  His Father has a hard time believing him but slowly does as Colton describes who he sees. This 2014 film has a running time of 113 min, and is directed by Harold Cronk and written by Hunter Dennis and Chuck Konzelman.  Stars: Shane Harper, Kevon Sorbo , David A.R.White , Willie Robertson, Kori Robertson, Marco Khan, Alex Aristidis , Dean Cain, Cassidy Gifford, Paul Kwo, Trisha LaFache, Benjamin Ochieng, Cory Oliver, Hadeel Sittu , and special guests the Newsboys . The Book Thief is directed by Brian Percival.  Written for the screen by Michael Petroni.  Based on a Noval by Marcus Zusak.   Sophie Nelisse (Liesel Meminger), Geoffrey Rush ( Hubermann), Roger Allam(Narrator/Voice, Death), Heike Makatsch (Liesel's Mother ), Emily Watson ( Rosa Hubermann).   1938 Germany, a young girl, Liesel (Sophie Nelisse) is taken to her Foster Parents, Hans Hubermann (Geoffrey Rush) and Rosa Hubermann( Emily Watson). Her mother was accused of being a communist; Liesel's brother died on the way to there destination.  Service and a burial was held.   The story of Liesel and her desire to find solace in reading books.  An illiterate girl at first but with the help of Hans she can learn the knowledge she needs to understand her surroundings.  Hans teaches her for two years, her grasp on literature is her only tool she needs to achieve something more than her peers at school. Twelve Years a Slave (2013), Directed by Steve McQueen, Written for the screen by John Ridley.  Based on Twelve Years a Slave by Solomon Northup.  The Film stars Chiwetel Ejiofor (Solomon Northup), Dwight Henry (Uncle Abram), Kelsey Scott (Anne Northup), Quvenzhane Wallis (Margaret Northup ), Cameron Zeigler (Alonzo Northup), Michael Fassbender (Edwin Epps), Sarah Paulson (Mistress Epps), Paul Giamatti (Freeman), Brad Pitt as Bass. 1841 Saratoga New York, Solomon Northup (Chiwetel Ejiofor) approached by two travelers, Brown (Scoot McNairy) and Hamilton (Taran Killam).  They meet with Solomon (Chiwetel Ejiofor) with expectations on him performing with them with a Circus; a great deal of money is to be made, all the way to Washington.  The two men watch as Solomon gets drunk, there after he awakens in Chains, wrist, ankles, his gaze is blurry.  A man enters the dark damp room and tells Solomon, his name has changed to Platt.
